बांग्लादेश के अनुभवी क्रिकेटर शाकिब अल हसन पर एक हत्या के मामले में आरोपी बताया गया है, जिसने देशभर में सनसनी फैला दी है। मोहम्मद रूबेल नामक एक परिधान कर्मी की मौत के सिलसिले में हुए इस महत्वपूर्ण मामले ने देश में व्यापक राजनीतिक उथल-पुथल को जन्म दिया है। रूबेल की मौत 5 अगस्त को आदाबर में एक विरोध रैली के दौरान गोली लगने से हुई थी, जिसके बाद 7 अगस्त को उसने दम तोड़ दिया।

मुकदमे की पृष्ठभूमि

रुबेल के पिता, रफीकुल इस्लाम द्वारा आदाबर पुलिस स्टेशन में दर्ज़ की गई एफआईआर में शाकिब अल हसन का नाम 28वें आरोपी के रूप में लिया गया है। एफआईआर में पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना और 154 अन्य प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तियों के साथ-साथ 400-500 अज्ञात व्यक्तियों का भी नाम दर्ज है।

शाकिब का क्रिकेट करियर पर असर

इस मामले ने शाकिब के भविष्य पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। वह उस समय ग्लोबल टी20 कनाडा लीग में भाग ले रहे थे और बांग्लादेश में नहीं थे, लेकिन फिर भी उनका नाम इस मामले में शामिल किया गया है। बांग्लादेश क्रिकेट बोर्ड के नए अध्यक्ष, पूर्व राष्ट्रीय कप्तान फारुक अहमद ने भी शाकिब की भविष्य की उपलब्धता पर चिंता जताई है।

इस विरोध में हुई मौत पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र मानवाधिकार उच्चायुक्त की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 16 जुलाई से 4 अगस्त के बीच अशांति के दौरान 400 मौतें दर्ज की गई थीं, हालांकि कुछ रिपोर्ट्स इस संख्या को और भी अधिक बताती हैं। विरोध आंदोलन शेख हसीना के इस्तीफे का कारण बना और इसके बाद नोबेल पुरस्कार विजेता मुहम्मद युनूस के नेतृत्व में एक अंतरिम सरकार की स्थापना की गई।
